Minor in Christianity Theology

This curriculum begins with foundational courses in Hermeneutics and Theological studies, moving on to deeper explorations of Christian history and systematic theology. Through courses such as Christian Ethics and Baptist History, students develop critical thinking skills while engaging with complex theological concepts and their contemporary applications.

Program Overview

The program blends foundational theological coursework with focused study in key areas of Christian thought and practice, beginning with required courses in:

  • CHRI 3311 Hermeneutics
  • CHRI 3301 Old Testament Theology or CHRI 3302 New Testament Theology
  • CHRI 3314 History of Christianity or CHRI 4335 Systematic Theology

Students then take 9 hours of electives. Theological studies include, but are not limited to:

  • CHRI 4345 Christian Ethics
  • CHRI 4383 Baptist History
  • CHRI 4381 Special Topics
